Theben supports primary school Witthauschule in Haigerloch within the scope of the EU School Fruit Scheme

Fresh fruit and healthy vitamins are important for mind and body 鈥 especially for teenagers and kids. This is why Theben supports primary school Witthauschule in Haigerloch within the scope of the School Fruit Scheme of the EU and contributes to a regular supply of fresh fruit for the schoolchildren.

鈥濱 want an apple today, I want a banana, and me, I want a pear!鈥 this is what the children have been shouting in all-day care with Elke Sch盲berle at primary school Witthauschule in Haigerloch for a few weeks now. Thanks to the School Fruit Scheme of the EU, SM Promotion company from Stuttgart and Theben AG, there is a freshly filled box of delicious fruit every week.

Participation in the School Fruit Scheme is fairly easy: The staff at all-day care and at Witthauschule Haigerloch only had to make three calls and to fill in two forms, and the daily supply of fresh fruit could begin. Since then, the company Hurm & Sinn from Haigerloch delivers a tightly packed fruit box every Monday, and the parents are happy about their kids enjoying the fresh fruit. And if there is anything left over, the kids make a yummy fruit salad together.

The EU School Fruit Scheme is intended to show the children that fruit and vegetables are just healthy and delicious, as early as possible. Furthermore, this should counteract the decreasing fruit and vegetable consumption.

In Baden-W眉rttemberg, only about two million Euros are available for financing the fruit and vegetable meals every year. Therefore, Theben has decided to support this important project financially. Further information on the participation in the School Fruit Scheme at www.schulfrucht-bw.de.
