HBW Balingen-Weilstetten
The history of the 鈥淗BW Balingen-Weilstetten鈥 sounds like a fairy tale: In 2002 the club was formed by merging the 鈥淭V Weilstetten鈥 and the 鈥淭SG Balingen Handball 2000鈥. Already in the first playing time, the young team won the championship of the Regionalliga S眉d and was promoted to the second Bundesliga.
The HBW Balingen-Weilstetten captures its fans with top handball and has celebrated many victories, e.g. the championship title in the 2. Bundelsiga S眉d in 2005/2006, which resulted in the rise to the 1. Bundesliga. In the following playing times the team could always stay in the league and is now proud to be an established part of the most successful handball league in the world.
What is the secret of this success? Maybe it鈥檚 the commitment and enthusiasm of the team? Maybe it is the atmosphere in the local Sparkassen-Arena, the so-called 鈥淗ell of the South鈥, which makes every play so very special? Undoubtedly it is also the true team spirit which can be felt everywhere, in the team and behind the scene.
