Theben supports the Germany Scholarship of the University of T眉bingen
The Germany Scholarship represents top funding on a wide range. The fundamental idea: financial support of exceptionally talented and socially committed students, independent of their personal income.
Advancement through education: supporting tomorrow's talents
At the Eberhard Karls University of T眉bingen, scholarships are awarded on the basis of an individual selection process. Scholarship holders receive 300 euros per month: 150 euros from the federal government and 150 Euros from private sponsors. One of these private sponsors is Theben AG.
鈥濿e think the economy also benefits greatly from the Germany Scholarship, which is why we, as an export-oriented company, support the International Economics program. Innovative companies like us get the chance to meet future specialists and managers and to awaken their interest in our topics,鈥 concludes Thomas Goes, Chairman of the Board, Theben AG.
Almost 20,000 students received a scholarship in 2013
19,740 Germany Scholarships were awarded by German universities nationwide in 2013. These are about 5,844 scholarships and 42 percent more than in 2012. Private sponsors, such as companies, foundations or private individuals raised about 21.1 million euros, last year alone. Just over three years after it was launched, more than every third funded scholarship for students is a Germany Scholarship.
鈥濫xcellence has many faces. The sponsored talents demonstrate outstanding achievements in their field as well as in their social environment. The commitment of sponsors and universities for a new culture of scholarships in Germany also demonstrates excellence to me,鈥 said Federal Education Minister Johanna Wanka. The leading German federal states in terms of number of recipients are North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria and Baden-W眉rttemberg.
