Optimised for LEDs and energy saving lamps: The new astronomical time switch Theben SELEKTA 175 top2
(Haigerloch, 1th April 2015) With the new SELEKTA 175 top2, Theben presents an astronomical time switch with an installation width of 1 module for high capacitive loads, as they especially occur with LED lamps and energy saving lamps.
SELEKTA 175 top2 features a new relay technology with tungsten pre-contact, ensuring reliable operation especially with high capacitive loads, for instance with LED lamps and energy saving lamps. Due to the small installation width of only 1 module, it can also be used when space is limited in the switch cabinet. Plug-in terminals simplify the installation.
The external control input for push buttons or switches, for manually overriding the programmed switching times, increases the flexibility. Thanks to the integrated temperature compensation, users can rely on a high accuracy of max. 0.25 s/day. The long power reserve of up to 10 years and the low input power of only 0.4 W ensure reliable and energy efficient operation.
Apart from the installation advantage when space is limited in the switch cabinet, the SELEKTA 175 top2 offers numerous possible applications for retrofitting Astro applications, for example for street lighting, parking spaces and public places, outdoor lighting (terrace, garden), billboard, accent, and orientation lighting.
The top2 operating philosophy allows flexible and comfortable programming directly at the device via keyboard and display or simply at the PC with the intuitive Theben OBELISK top2 software from version 3.7. The software can be downloaded for free at www.theben.co.uk
