Theben AG announces the resignation of Thomas Goes, Chairman of the Board

(Haigerloch, 19 November 2015) Theben AG announces the resignation of Mr Thomas Goes, Chairman of the Board. Due to different opinions concerning the further development and management of the company, Mr Goes leaves the company as Chairman of the Board, with immediate effect. He will neither continue any other functions within the company.

Due to different opinions concerning the further development and management of the company, Mr Goes leaves the company as Chairman of the Board, with immediate effect. 鈥濿e note this with regret and would like to express our thanks to Mr Goes for his trustful work over decades,鈥 continues Thomas Sell, Chief Sales Officer of Theben AG. 鈥濿e now set sail, in order to expand the lead of the Theben premium brand.鈥

 

The areas of responsibility of Mr Goes have been split among the two board members Thomas Sell and Dr. Andreas Stratmann. With Thomas Sell, a longstanding member of Theben now pulls the strings in the fields of sales, marketing and product management. After receiving his degrees as a graduate engineer and industrial engineer, Thomas Sell worked for seven years in different positions at Vaillant. In 2001, Thomas Sell came back to Theben AG as marketing manager. One year later, he assumed sales management for the markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and in 2007, his field expanded due to worldwide exports. In August 2013, the Board of Directors of Theben AG appointed Thomas Sell to the Management Board. Dr. Andreas Stratmann studied electrical engineering at Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany. In addition to his activities as a scientific assistant at the Institute of Electrical Measurement and Circuit Design, he completed postgraduate studies in business. 1998, Andreas Stratmann obtained his doctorate in electrical engineering. Since 1998, he has held various management positions as a doctor engineer in the division of Automotive Electronics of Robert Bosch GmbH. In the years from 2008 to 2010, he was personal advisor of the Vice Chairman of the Board of Management, until he founded and established Bosch Power Tec GmbH in 2011, of which he was the Managing Director. In April 2014, Dr. Andreas Stratmann assumed the succession of Johannes Renner as the Director of Technology, who retired. In the future, the departments of development, production, information technology, human resources, as well as finances and controlling will be under his control.

 

Thomas Goes joined THEBEN-WERK Zeitautomatik GmbH in January 1988. One year later, he took over the management of human resources, and on 22 April 2002, he joined the management Board of Theben AG. The Board of Directors made Thomas Goes the Chairman of the Board in July 2004.
