Squaring the circle: The new thePrema presence detectors from ThebenHTS for energy-efficient light and air-conditioning control indoors
ThebenHTS presents the new thePrema presence detector product family designed for energy-efficient, presence-dependent control of lighting and air conditioning. The design resembles a droplet in the course of being formed: clear, round and perfectly shaped. When installed in the ceiling, it is barely noticeable. Its high performance, however, is extremely noticeable.
thePrema controls light, heating and climate - according to whether someone is in the room or not. Its 360掳 square detection area reliably provides detection in the room. "Blind spots" or overlaps in the room are avoided. It also reduces the number of presence detectors required per area including the device costs incurred.
thePrema presence detectors are available in two performance variants:
thePrema Standard presence detectors are ideally suited to individual offices, open-plan offices with axle design and corridors with strong incident daylight and sophisticated light measurement.

thePrema Performance presence detectors offer a detection area of up to 100v m2 and are ideally suited for large interior areas such as open-plan offices, conference rooms, classrooms, large surfaces with lots of
daylight such as entrance halls and rooms with large installation heights such as storage and sports halls.

All thePrema presence detectors from ThebenHTS offer comprehensive functions for energy-efficient use, simple installation and convenient operation including:
- Square 360掳 detection area for accurate and easy planning
- Self-learning time delay for automatic adjustment to user behaviour
- Short-term presence for switching off the light after only two minutes instead of the usually configured time delay of 25 minutes
- The "ecoPlus" function allows the presence detector to be easily configured to individual requirements and guarantees maximum energy saving.
- Light measurement can be switched to spot or wide measurement (only with Performance)
- Convenient configuration of the most important settings including light scenes and sensor sensitivity via theSenda and SendoPro remote control
- Automatic detection of connected push buttons or switches for rapid installation without configuration errors
theSenda 鈥 the new, elegant remote controls
Both new remote controls, theSenda S and theSenda P, adopt the flowing, ergonomic design of thePrema presence detectors and sit especially well in the hand. Using the performance remote control theSenda P the installer can conveniently configure all parameters from the ground up - from the brightness threshold switch-on value to sensor sensitivity and the saving and calling up of two light scenes. theSenda uses the same protocol as the existing SendoPro remote control and is thus compatible with the previous ThebenHTS presence detectors. With theSenda S as standard remote control for end users, light scenes can be called up at the press of a button.
The new thePrema presence detectors will be available from October 2013 in the colours white, grey and in special colours at extra cost. The KNX variants of thePrema presence detectors as well as theSenda remote controls will be available from January 2014. A DALI variant will follow later.
