Interface between DALI system and KNX bus: The new DALI Gateway KNX from Theben
Theben's new DALI Gateway KNX connects the DALI system to the KNX bus. (Haigerloch, 10/10/2011) The new interface module from Theben makes it possible to integrate DALI in the KNX building management system.
Up to 16 lighting zones with a total of 64 electronic DALI devices such as starter devices (EB), transformers, LED converter etc., can be connected and addressed. Group-oriented KNX actuation is effected exclusively via up to 16 lighting groups.
14 lighting scenes can be selected via 8-bit or 1-bit scene telegrams.All connected DALI participants can be controlled or requested in broadcast mode.
Information on lamps or EB errors are available on the KNX bus for each lighting group or DALI participants. Manual switching of all DALI participants is possible via the test button on the KNX DALI Gateway from Theben. Operating voltage and DALI participant errors are also displayed via 2 LEDs.
Configuration of DALI participants is performed using the DALI software tool.
