Successful LED spotlight range extended: LUXA 102-180 LED turns night into day

(Haigerloch 20. March 2013) Theben extends its successful LUXA LED spotlight with integrated motion detector range with another powerful model. With a light output of 2000 lumen and a warm light colour of 6000 Kelvin, the new LUXA 102-180 LED 32 W turns night into day. Its four LEDs with 8 watts each correspond to around 230 watts of a standard halogen spotlight. The device matches its two predecessors visually and continues the design line. The sturdy housing is offered in black or white.

Energy-efficient and versatile

When it comes to energy efficiency, the LED spotlight with integrated motion detector scores a double. First, there is its low stand-by power consumption of only 0.5 W and only 36 W power consumption during operation. Second, there is the long life of its four LEDs: With a service life of 25,000 hours, they last up to 15 times longer than standard incandescent lamps. At an installation height of 2.5 metres, the motion detectors have a detection area of up to 12 metres and a detection range of 180°. The creep-under protection reliably guarantees outside lights (IP 55) will come on as soon as you step in front of the door. The LED spotlights, which can be rotated by 90° horizontally and 55° vertically, allow larger driveways, loading ramps or other commercial areas to be lit optimally. The size of area to be lit can be significantly increased by bringing in two devices as master/master. Additional devices, such as LED spotlights without detectors, can be connected via the additional relay output of the 32 W spotlight with built-in motion detector.

Extended family: LUXA spotlight also without motion detector

With the introduction of six additional LED spotlights without motion detectors, Theben rounds out the LUXA spotlight product range. The spotlight is offered with one, two or four LEDs in black and white. It forms the ideal supplement to the previous LED spotlights with motion detectors. The advantages are clear: the size of the area to be lit can be significantly increased by connecting lower cost variants without detectors, guaranteeing that the exterior lighting has a uniform appearance.

Installation and commissioning
With its 29 x 18 x 8.5 cm dimensions the LED spotlight is slightly smaller than an A4 sheet and can fit almost anywhere. Thanks to the terminals integrated into the plug base, the LED spotlight can be quickly and easily installed outdoors. A spacer frame is included in the delivery package. It offers significantly more flexibility in cable routing. The "switch-on delay" and "brightness threshold" can be set individually on the potentiometers without having to use tools.
